Made from same manufacturing tools as our 3-pin Cable it has a 3-pin bail height to accommodate a 18-19mm thick duckbill telemark boot. Voile has added a solid new innovation to our telemark release binding line. Using our new in-house CAD/CAM design and manufacturing system, we are proud to offer the 20mm V-tech riser. The V-tech riser dramatically improves the overall function and performance of the Voile Release Binding. It provides a consistent release, retention, and is the only telemark release binding that will release in a backward fall. The backward fall is typically how most knee injuries are sustained. Perhaps more importantly, it is recommended equipment for skiing in avalanche prone terrian. Having a release system increases the chance of separation of you and your skis, thus helping to prevent injury and deep burial if caught in an avalanche. Short: 5 to 9.6 Standard: 9 to 13
